Background

Procure Plus specialises in procurement within the social housing sector, enabling housing associations to purchase goods and services together, delivering savings of between 10% and 20%. The surplus generated from procurement business is used to train and develop people who find themselves at a disadvantage in the employment market.  

Their partnership with SimpliCity by City Plumbing has improved order accuracy and customer satisfaction, eliminating any need for manual order processing.

The Challenge

Procure Plus allows their customers to place orders through the Procure Plus Portal, Schemes Plus. Customers are treated to a quick and effective buying journey, allowing them to browse goods and order what they need in an instant.

Once a customer has placed their order, it’s important that they receive these orders in a timely manner. The social housing industry frequently conducts vital repair and construction work, meaning Procure Plus needed a system capable of processing orders in an instant. Accuracy and efficiency was highly important to both Procure Plus and SimpliCity, as frequent system delays, malfunctions, or mistakes that could impact end users would be unacceptable.

The Plan

Procure Plus and SimpliCity have the shared goal of terminating the need for the manual inputting of customer orders – therefore eliminating the possibility of costly order errors, and freeing up time and cost expenditure. The SimpliCity team would utilise Robotic Process Automation to achieve a better, more favourable outcome for every customer order.

The Results

With the digital work complete, Procure Plus customers can place an order through the Schemes Plus Portal, which is then sent directly to our City Plumbing system. Orders are accurately processed in an instant, enabling them to be packaged and distributed by warehouse teams as soon as they are placed.

The SimpliCity solution was easy to implement with the existing Procure Plus systems, requiring minimal change in process for the customers.They now have the confidence of knowing their customer’s orders are handled automatically by a safe, reliable system that works in tandem with their existing frameworks.
